Introduction
The Diocese of Coventry has built considerably from its founding by Archbishop Holmes of Birmingham over the recent years and now boasts its own clergy including an Archbishop. Having cleared out the remaining Camarilla from their own city the packs of Coventry are leading Crusade against the domain of Nottingham, and have gained renown for the fall of the domain of Cambridge and their defeat of other threats to the Sword of Caine.
Setting
Following the declaration of Coventry as its own domain under his sponsorship in late 2021 by Archbishop Holmes of Birmingham, the packs that arrived successfully cleared out the Camarilla's stragglers whilst maintaining a strong front against both further threats from the Ivory Tower and dangers presented by other supernaturals and the infernal. Their territory has expanded as that of Nottingham and Cambridge has shrunk, and now the diocese is bringing war to Nottingham itself having already removed the great threat presented by Cambridge and its warlocks.
Attending the Palla Grande of 2022, Cardinal Pierre de Chevalier of France, at the time the authority over the UK, ordained the first Archbishop of Coventry. Shortly after he challenged Francisco Domingo de Polonia to monomancy, the failed Cardinal of New York, stripping him of his title and opening a position amongst the Cardinals for the UK to have one of its own, a position claimed by Tomas Ruthven, former Archbishop of the North. Ruthven has since encourged specific targets for each diocese, including the now fallen Nottingham for Coventry, and has encouraged nomadic packs to aid the diocese in the war. Prisci Adonai has added his voice to call on the Salubri to aid in the fight, bringing yet further numbers.
Since then, Nottingham fell and became a Loyalist stronghold, and Birmingham was liberated from a Camarilla siege but unfortunately lost their Archbishop Holmes, subsequently joining with Coventry in 2025 to form the Diocese of Mercia. Now the large new Diocese points its sword North, towards the Camarilla Domain of Yorkshire, intent on expanding the Sabbat's hold on the land ever further.
